Bickerdike's membership is our broadest decision making body with over 600 individual and 40 organizational members. Membership is open to any resident or organization from our target communities. Members come together once a year at the Annual Meeting where they are apprised of Bickerdike's activities, vote to elect members to Bickerdike's board from among their peers, vote on resolutions regarding organizational direction and celebrate the accomplishments of another successful year. Members are encouraged to participate in volunteer committees that help guide Bickerdike's activities throughout the year.

Bickerdike membership means:

• A forum to voice your opinions.
• Strong relationship development with others who care about the community.
• Keeping in touch with community issues via Bickerdike's regular updates and newsletter.
• Notification of waiting list openings for Bickerdike apartments and home ownership opportunities.
• The opportunity to develop leadership skills by participating on one of Bickerdike's volunteer committees.
• Eligibility to vote on resolutions regarding Bickerdike's direction.
• Eligibility to nominate, vote on, and run for Bickerdike's Board of Directors.
• An invitation to Bickerdike's Annual Membership Meeting & Banquet.

Membership is divided into three categories:

• Class A - Individuals who live or work in our Target Area*. ($3.00 Annual Fee or $7.00 for three years)
• Class B - Organizations who have their principal place of business in the Target Area*. ($ 10.00 Annual Fee or $25.00 for three years)
• Class C - Any individual or organization outside the Target Area*. Members of this category are not eligible to vote or serve on the Board of Directors. ($15.00 Annual Fee)

To become a member, please fill out the Membership Application (English) (Spanish), sign and mail with payment to Bickerdike Redevelopment Corporation, 2550 W. North Avenue, Chicago, IL 60647. You will be contacted once we receive your application. Membership applications are approved by Bickerdike Redevelopment Corporation Board of Directors. We look forward to hearing from you!
