A history of civic engagement continues

On Saturday, March 25, we attended the One Chicago for All (#1Chi4All) Mayoral Forum and heard from the two candidates for mayor. The effect of the event was felt even on the bus back to the office, as our residents (Bickerdike and Lathrop) and staff engaged in further conversations regarding the candidates and the issues that are important to them.

Bickerdike has a long history of prioritizing the civic engagement of our residents. From forums like this to Get Out The Vote campaigns to providing rides to the polls, we educate our residents on the importance of having their voices heard and help facilitate their engagement. We hope you make your voice heard too. Early voting has begun, and runoff election day is April 4th! Find your polling place at the Chicago Board of Elections website.

One Chicago for All organizations work together towards an equitable, anti-racist Chicago that builds wealth for communities of color. Read more about the forum at the Chicago Sun-Times.
