Each year in early December, we hold our Annual Membership Meeting, where we present our accomplishments and vote on governing resolutions that will affect our work in future years. You could help offset the expense of this meeting for us and receive a nice plug for your business or organization in the process!

Gifts of tangible personal property related to the “charitable purposes” of Bickerdike may be eligible for a deduction of the asset’s fair market value.

Donate store gift cards or event (sports, theater, music, cultural, etc.) tickets to Bickerdike. We will put them to good use in our programs, use them as incentives for our hard-working employees, or give them away to our members at our Annual Membership Meeting.

Gifts from current or retired employees and their spouses and Board members of corporations are often eligible for corporate matching funds. Please check if your employer matches charitable contributions; it’s a simple way to increase your donation to Bickerdike.

To transfer securities to Bickerdike, you or your broker should contact our Controller for transfer instructions and account information. Please indicate which if you are directing your gift to a specific program or purpose.

Your tax deduction for gifts of publicly traded securities is determined by taking the average or mean between the security’s high and low trading prices on the date of the gift (or nearest trading date[s]).

A gift of securities is not complete until it is received unconditionally and irrevocably by Bickerdike. We will send you an acknowledgment of the effective date of the gift and its value at that time.

You can sometimes use closely held stock, Subchapter S corporate stock, limited liability company interests, and partnerships to make a charitable gift. Review any proposed gift of such assets in advance with your tax advisor. An S corporation, limited liability company, or partnership may donate specific assets with the deduction divided among the shareholders or members.

Some of the many ways you can give to Bickerdike include bequests, charitable remainder trusts, annuities, charitable lead trusts, gifts of retirement accounts or life insurance policies, real estate, and stock options.

We thank you for your support of Bickerdike’s work. All gifts are appreciated. Please get in touch with our Resource Development Manager if you have additional questions or would like to contribute to us. We’ll be happy to provide you with additional information or assistance.
