Bickerdike’s vision for the redevelopment of the CTA site at 2525 North Kedzie Boulevard is the creation of an equitable transit-oriented affordable housing development that will provide an opportunity for current lower-income residents of Logan Square to remain in their neighborhood rather than be displaced.
We envision a development of up to 96 units that will be dense enough to take advantage of the size of the site and the transit-oriented benefits but not so much that it overwhelms the surrounding properties and residents.
More than 2,500 square feet of street-front retail along Kedzie will generate a lively street-front presence, extend the public square and connect to the Milwaukee Avenue retail corridor.
In keeping with our mission and the needs of the residents of Logan Square, our development will be 100% affordable.
